Services

Students, faculty, staff members, and departments are assigned a mailbox and given a key. The mailroom is staffed by students who are part of the Federal Workstudy Program or the Institutional Workstudy Program. The mailroom receives mail, packages, and faxes. Mail is distributed to the mailboxes daily. Packages are logged in and available for pick-up in the package room. Faxes are received by the campus fax machine and placed in the mailboxes as they are received.

The mailroom will also send mail or packages out via the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx. Prices are determined by the carrier used.

There is a daily mail delivery to campus departmental offices at 2:00 p.m. Faculty may request that packages be delivered during the day.

Student Mailboxes

All students, commuter and resident, are required to have a campus mailbox. Each student is issued a key to that mailbox. The mailbox is one of the OFFICIAL communication methods for the College to the student.

Graduates

Graduating students must turn in their keys and provide a forwarding address to the mailroom staff. Graduates who do not return their keys will be charged a fee of $25, which will be refunded if the key is returned. The graduate’s mail will be forwarded for 90 days from the date of Commencement.

Upperclassmen

Students returning in the fall may have their mail forwarded during the summer months by turning in their keys and providing a forwarding address. Mail will stop being forwarded the Monday before classes start in the fall semester. The student will then need to go by the mailroom and pick up his or her key.

Key Loss

The charge for a replacement key is $25. The student must pay this fee to the Business Office before a new key will be issued. Show the receipt to the Tech Team so that a new key may be ordered.

Withdrawing Student

Students who withdraw from the College must turn in their mail keys before leaving campus or be charged $25. Keys may be returned to Residence Life, the mailroom, or the Business Office.
