Alabama Power Company

On October 14, 2004, Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West and Alabama Power Company’s Gordon Martin, vice president, Southern Division, signed a Corporate Partnership Agreement that could mean thousands of dollars in college tuition savings for Alabama Power employees and their legal dependents who attend Huntingdon.

This half-tuition scholarship offer has been expanded to include all companies that form the Southern Company. These companies include: Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power (FL), Mississippi Power, Savannah Electric, Southern Gas, Southern Linc Wireless, Southern Nuclear, and Southern Power.

As a member of the Huntingdon College Corporate Partnership Program with Alabama Power, you, your spouse, or your legal dependent children may receive a half-tuition scholarship to attend full-time day classes at Huntingdon College. To receive this benefit, the Alabama Power employee should provide the following information to the Huntingdon College Office of Admission and Financial Aid. Complete, sign, and return the scholarship application (PDF), along with a letter from the Alabama Power Human Resources Office that confirms employment or employee dependent status, as well as appropriate tax forms that verify dependent status if applicant is an Alabama Power employee’s dependent.

Alfa Insurance Company

On July 22, 2004, Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West and Alfa Insurance Company President Jerry Newby began a new partnership that could mean thousands of dollars in college tuition savings for Alfa employees and their dependents who attend Huntingdon.

As a member of the Huntingdon College Corporate Partnership Program with Alfa Insurance, you, your spouse, or your legal dependent children may receive a half-tuition scholarship to attend full-time day classes at Huntingdon College. To receive this benefit, the Alfa Insurance employee should provide the following information to the Huntingdon College Office of Admission and Financial Aid. Complete, sign, and return the scholarship application (PDF), along with a letter from the Alfa Human Resources Office that confirms employment or employee dependent status, as well as appropriate tax forms that verify dependent status if applicant is an Alfa employee’s dependent.
